***CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION***
The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) is one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations supporting innovative HIV/AIDS prevention education programs and direct care services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
EJAF awards its grants via two different vehicles: (1) Through a partnership with the National AIDS Fund (NAF), EJAF provides challenge grants to NAF’s 24 community partners nationwide that must be matched two to one as an incentive to leverage additional support for their programs from other funding sources. Approximately 60% of EJAF’s grants are awarded through this program. (2) EJAF also awards independent grants worldwide to worthy projects outside of the NAF system. This type of grant making continues to grow with the success of the Foundation.
Since its establishment in 1992 by founder and chairman Sir Elton John, EJAF has distributed over $60 million to HIV/AIDS prevention and service programs in 55 countries around the globe.
