COMPETITION :: OVERVIEW
WHAT IS "THE WORLD'S GREATEST EROTIC ART OF TODAY" COMPETITION?
This international competition is now considered to be one the "largest erotic art competitions in the world", showcasing fine erotic artworks. It is dedicated to both artists and those who truly admire the sensuality of this art genre. Whether you are already established as an artist, on the way up or a complete unknown, we wish to embrace and showcase your talents to the world. And, if you are in fact an erotic art enthusiast, you will have the opportunity to experience and appreciate first-hand the artworks of some of the world’s most talented erotic artists by visiting our galleries within the website.
All submissions will be judged by a professional jury consisting of erotic museum curators, already established masters in the field, academics, and collectors; a jury that will give a balanced view of each submission by you, chosen with intelligence, knowledge, instinct and feeling.
Six (6) cash prizes are awarded, including a $5,000 master winner, four (4) category winners of $1000 each, and One (1) “Viewer’s Choice” winner of $1000. Plus, the top 200 winning artworks will be published in a beautifully bound coffee table book entitled: “The World’s Greatest Erotic Art of Today - Vol. II”. This book will be distributed internationally through high street booksellers, specialty stores, museum stores, galleries, libraries, as well as on the internet. In addition, all the winners will have the option to participate in our international exhibition tour which will start in Miami (USA) and continue to New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and London. The Exhibition has a tentative date set around Mid-May 2008. Note: The tour will consist of both year 2006 and 2007 winners, since we had to cancel the tour this year for our last competition.
Another important aspect of this competition involves in raising money for AIDS research and treatment by supporting an international charity dedicated to the continuous fight against HIV/AIDS worldwide. We have a list of four (4) potential charities and throughout the competition all of the members of our website will have the chance to vote for their preferred charity. We will donate 100% of the profit from the book sales to the charity that receives the most votes at the end of the competition.
You can enter this competition in several ways; For on-line entry, fill out the online application form by first clicking the ‘Enter Competition’ option and proceeding with the application’s instructions, or alternatively you can enter by mailing in your application as well. To do so, just click on the mail-in Application link at the bottom of the website to print the .pdf version of the application form and mail it to us with your CD of images and payment.
