EROTICISM IN A CHANGING WORLD
In our opinion, erotic art is finally finding its place in the world; finally being taken seriously by the art establishment and critics alike. With the boundaries of closed minds being surpassed and the openness of sexuality more acceptable, the world promises to be a better, more tolerant place to live in! Now, people in general are much more openly confident in themselves sexually and in this day and age erotic art can be found displayed openly in homes, galleries and museums around the world. We want to encourage erotic art, find new talent and expose to the world the works of past, present and future masters of this fascinating art genre. Erotic Art is honest, it is a celebration of all that is humanity, it reveals the most inner thoughts, feelings and fantasies of an individual, and where much art simply represents an artist's opinion, erotic art behaves more directly as a mirror, reflecting back the viewers own insecurities, acceptability, and upbringing around this age old subject.
Indeed, erotic art says more about the viewer than the artist!
Erotic art has never been considered second rate, only unacceptable in everyday living. It has always been considered dangerous, revealing and shocking to most mindsets. Now it can be seen as a vehicle to enlighten, educate and embrace every curious mind. We believe it is the truest of art forms to the human condition. Modern erotic art has in many cases evolved far beyond fantasy; it now brushes against the politics of modern day living and the heavy mood of an uptight world. Again, Erotic Signature is proud to be creating one the world's largest erotic art competitions, furthering the cause and revealing the enormous oracle of talent in many cases still yet to be discovered.
