This FAQ section serves as a quick reference for the website.  Although a major portion covers information already mentioned throughout the site, you will also find some other content that will hopefully answer most questions you may have.  We hope that you will find it helpful in your overall search.

1. What is the minimum age requirement to participate in the competition?

      You must be at least 18 years of age or older, or the minimum required age in your community to view this Website or any adult oriented websites.

2. I forgot my username or password.  How can I get a new one assigned?

      If you forgot your username, click the “Forgot your username?” link in the [LOGIN] section and the system will ask you to "Please enter the e-mail address associated with your User account. Your username will be e-mailed to the e-mail address on file."

      If you forgot your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link in the [LOGIN] section and the system will ask you to "Please enter the e-mail address for your account. A verification token will be sent to you. Once you have received the token, you will be able to choose a new password for your account."

3. The system is not accepting my correct username and password?

      If you are certainly sure that you are using the correct username and password and the system is not accepting them, check if you are using the correct capitalization as these fields are case-sensitive.  Another reason for this occurrence might happen during data maintenance, when we are updating or upgrading our system, though this occurrence is rare and we would most likely send an announcement regarding a maintenance period.   In this case, you just have to wait a short while and try to access the website again.  If this problem could not be resolved with the above solutions, please CONTACT our tech support staff.

4. Why am I not receiving all my emails from Erotic Signature?

      Email from this system may initially be blocked by SPAM filters.  Please check your SPAM folders for missed emails, and make sure to add us in your acceptable email list.  Please include the followings:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 5. Can I still register on the site if I am not entering the competition?

      Of course, please register for your free membership via the LOGIN FORM (MAIN SITE) section on our website.  This site is for both artists and those who love and appreciate erotic art.  Besides, you would want to show your support and not miss these future masters in the making.  Also, some of the section of the site is only accessible to registered members only...  There are a lot of other benefits for being a registered members including the ability to vote on the "Pick of the Week" contests, and the "Viewer's Choice" selection at the end of the competition in August.

6. How do I enter the competition?

      To enter this competition, fill out the online application form by first clicking on the SUBMISSION FORM in theCOMPETITION menu, or any of the ENTER THE COMPETITION buttons all throughout the site.  Then, you will fill out a simple submission form with the online application’s instructions and pay for your entries.  Alternatively, you can click on the mail-in application link at the bottom section of the Erotic Signature website to download and print the application form and mail it to us signed and with the payment.  Please keep in mind that although you can include your credit card info with the mail-in application, it is primarily designed as an option to facilitate payment with checks in case you don't have a Paypal account; or credit / debit card to pay for your transaction online.  We will only create your account for you with the mail-in application.  You will still have to upload the artwork yourself via a computer after we finish to create your account and send you a confirmation. All mail-in Application must be received in our office no later than August 8, 2010 (1 week before the competition deadline).

7. How is the competition juried?

      Whether you submit one, two or (the maximum) five images for our jury to decide upon, you have the chance to have all submissions included as each artwork is judged anonymously and on its own individual merit.   Each juror will view every submission by you and award a high to low number score to each artwork. At the end of the competition, the scores of each juror will be added together for each of your submitted artwork, giving you a total. The highest totals in each category will be the winners. The percentage of entries in each category will correspond with the percentage of the highest scores amongst all entries to be selected for that respective category.

8. How many jurors are on the jury panel and what are their credentials?
      Our panel of jurors consists of twelve (12) established masters in the field of erotic art; ranging from top curators of the world’s most prestigious erotic art museums, to master artists.  Find out more about each juror by viewing their bios in the juror’s bios section on the website.

10. My image is not a .jpg, how do I convert it?

      To convert an image into a JPG file, you can use various pictures editor software such as "Microsoft Paint" (accessible from the Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories). Open your picture and select "Save As" from the "File" menu. Select "JPEG" in the "Save as Type" menu. Your picture should now be saved as a JPG file and can be uploaded into EROTICSIGNATURE.COM database.

11. Can I send my original prints and will they be returned?

      All entries for the competition are uploaded on-line by their respective artists.  Entries mailed to 'Erotic Signature' will not be returned, so please, do not submit original artworks or any other materials to us for that matter.

12.   What genres of artwork are allowed in the competition?

      The five categories accepted for this competition are: Erotic Fine Art, Erotic Digital Art, Erotic Photography, Erotic Sculpture, and Mixed Media.  A full description of each category can be found under the COMPETITION section on the website under 'Guidelines'.

13. Are there any restrictions on the nature of the artwork?

      We have set very few parameters in this area, we want to encourage art expressing every sexuality and subject matter, heterosexual, gay and lesbian, transsexual, fetish and alternative lifestyles; however all work must not move outside of the boundaries of consenting sexuality. We will not tolerate any works that include references to minors or beastiality, or depict violence.

Living Artists Only: Although we do not have a time limit on the images being submitted into the competition, the artist must be alive at the time of submission; meaning a relative, agent, or heir is not allowed to enter artworks for an artist who has already passed away.

16. How will the competition winners be notified?

      Only the winners will be notified by email, and their names and artworks titles published alongside one another on our website www.eroticsignature.com under the 'Winning Artists' section.  So please, make sure that all your information in your profile (competing artists) is current and accurate.  If we cannot get in touch with you, we will have to give your spot to someone else.

17. If I am not a winner, will I be notified?

      No, if you have not been selected for inclusion in the book by our judges or a money prize, you will not be notified.

18. What are the cities chosen for the Exhibition tour?

      The release of the book in Nov/Dec 2010 will mark the launching of the ARTundressed Exhibition Tour in Miami.  We are now in the process of organizing the rest of the tour and will have the final schedule posted by the end of the competition.

19. What are the fees to enter the competition?

      Artists are allowed to enter the competition just once (only 1 account or profile is allowed per individual) and submit up to 5 images (max) at $20 per image until the deadline of August 15, 2010:

Please Note: A small processing fee of $4.95 is added to each individual transaction. This processing fee will appear as a "Shipping" fee for all Paypal Transactions.  There will be no additional fees for this competition after your entry fees have been paid.

20. Do I have to purchase all of my entries at once?

      No. You can select whatever number of images to enter in the competition during initial registration, and later add more images until you reach the maximum (5) allowed.

21. How many images can I enter in the competition?

      A maximum of 5 artworks are allowed by any one individual.  Again, you have the opportunity to have all your entries published if selected by the jury.  You are only allowed one membership account in this competition.  Any person later found to have multiple accounts will be immediately disqualified, without a refund of their entry fees.

22. Do I have to upload all my images at once?

      No.  You can choose to pay for up to the maximum 5 images when registering for the competition and upload them at anytime during the competition; but before the deadline for entries, of course.  You can also pay for a single picture and later ‘upgrade your selection’ to submit additional images or the maximum (5) allowed.  However, the system requires all artists entering the competition to make an initial purchase at the time of their registration.

23. How do I upload my entries after my account has been created?

      Click on the "COMPETING ARTISTS LOGIN" link in theCOMPETITION menu or below the LOGIN FORM (MAIN SITE) section of this website (www.eroticsignature.com). Enter your registered email and password in the Login fields. Once you've gained access to your profile page, you will see the number of images purchased and you can upload them by clicking on the respective "PREPARE THIS IMAGE" links.  After you have uploaded your images and you are sure about your submission, the last step is to submit your images into the competition for approval so the jurors can vote on them.  You will see the SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL button for each individual submission on the same page where you browse to upload your entries.

24. How can I change or modify an image previously submitted?

      Once an image is submitted into the competition, it cannot be changed, replaced or modified; only the image name and description can be edited. However, you will be able to view all your submitted images when you access your personal profile.  So, please be certain that you are 100% sure about your entries before you “submit” it into the competition.  All submissions are final.

25. What if my picture is found inappropriate and was deleted?

      If we decide that a picture is corrupted, inappropriate or violate our terms and/or policies, we will delete it from our database and allow the user to upload another image.  In the case of the later two infractions, please do not re-submit the same image or you will not get another chance to upload and replace it again and lose the entry fee for that selection.  If the picture fits our standards but only corrupted, make sure the picture is clean with the correct format, re-save and upload another copy of it, if possible.  If the problem still exists, please CONTACT our tech support staff.

26. What forms of payment are accepted?

      We accept all major Debit and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).  You can pay using our secured Gateway or Paypal for all on-line transactions (American Express payment is available thru Paypal only).   We also accept the above major credit cards and Debit cards, checks, and money orders via mail as well.  The mail-in application must accompany the entrants' full billing address and phone number as required on the entry and credit card approval forms, and it must be signed. All mail-in Application must be received in our office no later than August 8, 2010 (1 week before the competition deadline).

      International entrants may pay fees by debit or credit cards; bank checks; international money order; money transfer (bank or Western Union), or a check in U.S. funds drafted from a U.S. bank.   Please CONTACT us to make alternative payment arrangements if you are not able to complete your transactions online.

27. How is customer information protected, and why is it safe to pay online?

      When you place orders or access your account information, we make use of a secure server using 128 bit encryption. 128 bit encryption is the highest level of security available on the Internet. In addition we have an authorized Secure Server certificate from GeoTrust, a third party verification service. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. In addition, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

      All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for purchases made via this website.

      If you feel you have been charged in error, please CONTACT us for immediate assistance. Disputing the charge with your credit card company is time-consuming and unnecessary since most issues can easily be resolved with the help of our friendly support staff.
